A study in considered deconstruction, the Maey shirt from Andersson Bell reinterprets the classic check through an architectural layering technique that places a bold diagonal panel across the chest — cut on the bias against the base cloth to create a dynamic clash of pattern direction. The result is a single garment that reads as two, fusing the familiarity of a plaid flannel shirt with the label's distinctly avant-garde construction sensibility. Worn open as a casual overshirt or buttoned through as a standalone piece, it carries an effortless tension between the everyday and the considered.
