Coperni is a French womenswear label based in Paris, designed and established in 2013 by Sebastian Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant. The brand is named after Russian astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus. With prior backgrounds in the ateliers of Chanel and Balenciaga, the duo aspires to create a label that combines youthful energy with a passion for working with new textiles and relevant silhouettes. The brand infuses a thorough knowledge of embroidery techniques, streamlined with a linear sensibility that fuses origami-like technique with a neat, ‘sportif’ silhouette.

During the Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2023 fashion show, Coperni made headlines and broke the internet, going down in history, as everyone would remember the iconic Coperni spray-painted Fabrican dress worn by Bella Hadid. For about nine minutes, the audience watched a while, off-shoulder dress being sprayed onto Bella Hadid’s body. A frock was spray-painted onto her body, using Fabrican, which dried instantly into a pebbled fabric.
